Tektonischer Dom, bestehend aus Devonischem bis Triassischem Strata unterhalb Spät-Triassischem Grünschiefer Fazies. Diese Gesteine werden überlagert durch Kalkschiefer und Glimmerschiefer, Früh Permischer Marmor und Spät Permischer Basalt der Dashibao Formation. Mafische-ultramafitische Bänke innerhalb des Yangliuping Dom sind Träger von PGE-haltiger Ni-Cu-sulfid Mineralisation.
