Detailed description

Panzerfische sind eine Klasse der Fische (Pisces). Sie traten im Silur auf und verschwanden im Devon wieder. Die ersten Panzerfische lebten im Süßwasser, besiedelten im Devon auch das Meer. Panzerfische haben einen mit Knochenplatten gepanzerten Kopf und Rumpf.
