Color: grauweiß-met. Lustre: Metallglanz Description: Natives Aluminium wurde 2004 in Hochwurten, Berggruppe Goldberg, Oberkärnten, Österreich, entdeckt. Die Fundstelle liegt in der Nähe der Wurtenkees (Gletscher), wo das dominante Gestein (Mittelgneis) während des Rückzugs des Gletschers freigelegt wurde. Hier sind auch Adern mit goldhaltigen Erzen, die mit Telluriden (Tetradymit, Tsumoit, Joséit-A) und Ag-Pb-Bi-Sulfosalzen verbunden sind, freigelegt und wurden in den letzten Jahrhunderten intermittierend abgebaut. Natives Aluminium tritt in einiger Entfernung (mehrere 100 m seitlich und vertikal) zu den Venen als isoliertes kristallines Aggregat mit einer Größe von 10 × 3 mm und einer eng verbundenen Flocke (200 μm Länge) auf.
