SEM image of ~0.28x0.18x0.15 mm micro-nugget of pure, analyticaly confirmed Chromferide extracted from heavy fraction of unspecified gold placer in area of Kumak gold deposit - the type locality of the species. Note microporous structure of this unusual compound - it able to contain Quartz in its pores. Note also imprints of octahedral crystals (chromite? pyrite?) on surface of the nugget. Kumak ore field, Orenburgskaya Oblast', Southern Urals, Urals Region, Russia
