Der ursprünglich dem Roggianit Framework zugeordnete Code war -ROG (siehe z.B. Atlas of Zeolithe Structure Types, 2nd Ed., 1987 und 3. Auflage. 1992). Dies basierte auf einer Strukturanalyse im Jahr 1980. Jedoch zeigte eine bessere Bestimmung der Struktur im Jahr 1991, dass die -ROG Konnektivität nicht ganz richtig war (es wurde festgestellt, dass einige Be-Atome Teil des Frameworks waren). Um Verwechslungen zu vermeiden wurde der Code -ROG diskreditiert und der neue Code -RON dem neuen Rahmen-Typ in der 1996 Ausgabe des Atlas zugeordnet.
