Additional information / Summary

In 2012 überarbeitete die IMA die Nomenklatur für die Hollandit-Supergruppe. Hollandit wird nun neu definiert als das (mehr verbreitete) Ba-Mn3+ Endglied der Coronadit-Gruppe. Das Typmaterial für Hollandit ist nun Ferrihollandit, ein neuer Name für das Ba-Fe3+ Endglied (Biagioni et al 2013).

Die ursprüngliche Typlokalität für Hollandit ist nun die des Ferrihollandit; die Lokation für den Neotyp von Hollandit ist Gowari Wadhona (fälschlich auch "Gowani Wadhona" in Biagioni et al 2013).

Das bisher als Hollandit bezeichnete Mineral ist nun unter Ferrihollandit zu finden.
