Ixiolith wurde neu definiert und führt nun zu zwei verschiedenen Mineralarten: Ixiolith-(Mn2+)mit der Endgliedformel (Ta2/3Mn1/3)O2 und Ixiolith-(Fe2+) mit der Endgliedformel (Ta2/3Fe2+1/3)O2. Die Typlokalität für beide ist Skogsböle, Kimito Island, Finnland. [1]

Die hier angegebenen Daten beruhen auf Veröffentlichungen als die Gruppe noch als Mineral geführt wurde.
