Detailed description

Cromalit ist eine lokale Bezeichnung für einen Alkali Pyroxenit, der aus Ägirin-Augit, Melanit, Biotit, Apatit und Eisenerz besteht. (Pyroxenit ist modal definiert in der Ultramafit-Gesteinsklassifizierung)

Cromalit stammt von der Ledmore Lodge, nahe den Cromalt Hills, Assynt in Schottland (eine der klassischen europäischen Alkaligesteinsprovinzen)
